As title, I have rang the Main Dealers for a price, they have asked me to ring them back on Friday.

Bike is 2010 GSA Shine Yellow with Dynamic Pack and Premium Pack.

Bike has covered 11400 miles and has just had its 12,000 mile service at Main Dealers.
Bike has been garaged and bubbled, has not been ridden in winter and is mint.
Warranty untill April 2012
Just trying to get an idea of what its worth.

Best regards Stretch :thumb2

30% less than you paid for it probably. Didn't you like it? Mine got better after 12K miles.

Hi Bones, is that trade price, its got to be worth more than £9520 to a genuine buyer.

The bike is getting better and better as the mileage has risen, I'm selling it for personal reasons.

Stretch :)

Dont do it Stretch.

PS I think I'm suffering from a strong case of Rasheritus

Oh dear, not fear of exploding FD syndrome?

Just be sure it has to go as it is probably worth more to you than the stealers will offer.

Right now I suspect the dealer is telling you how many of these are on the market, nobody likes that colour, you have done too many miles :blagblah

But if you decide you want one again in a few months, well then they will be a bit scarce, the colour you want will be the most in demand and 50k is barely run in sir.

Or are you sneaking off to buy a Busa???

Rasher, are you a phone hacker, or where you that chap stood just yards from us in the showroom, without identifying yourself, if not your psychic powers are truly amazing.

I'm going home Rasher :D

Best regards Stretch :)

What bits did I get right, obviously the ones about your bike being worthless - I bet he was kind enough to offer you some money although he probably will make a huge loss on your bike and his kids will starve.

But was it a price against a Busa your after?

Stick it on ebay classifieds and or MCN for a couple of weeks first before letting a dealer make £1500 on it. What have you got to lose apart from £10? :thumb

Thanks for the advice dogman, its got some BMW finance on it and I haven't got the funds to clear it off so my hands are tied :blast

Best regards Stretch :)

The finance isn't a problem to a private sale.

When I bought mine privately. The seller got a letter from BMW finance confirming the settlement figure and the bank account details for payment. I then confirmed all this to be accurate.

On the day of the deal we went to the bank where i transferred from my account to BMW finance the balance and gave the vendor the difference in cash.

All above board with plenty of security for both parties. A nice documented transaction trail with a covering letter from both parties with the details of the deal.

Easy peasy:thumb

b*stards arent they, north west dealer tried selling me a 60 plate GSA with one of the main packs and abs for about 12K minus panniers last month...forced me down the brand new route in the end.

They must make at least 1500 quid on each one they sell used, offering shite trade ins and fixing prices of second hand models high in the network.

I would stick on ebay (and sell me your panniers I'll collect this week!), sell to a foreign buyer if you have to they seem straighforward purchasers.
