Why did you sell the first ATAS you had ?

My 1300GS has had issues . Loads of error messages . I charged the battery . All fine now .

The 1300GS is the best GS ever built .

A total delight to ride and the best adventure bike out there by far .

It’s fast , has the power every where in the rev range , handles superbly for a bigish bike and has all day comfort . Proper all round bike that does everything brilliantly

Morning, totally agree with that hence I have tolerated my two for the last two years in the hope that they will sort it out but there do seem to be more issues than is normal which is very disappointing.

go for the ATAS. I had one prior to my 1250gsa and did 11k faultless miles in a year on it.

6 year warranty now!

What's concerning is the 1300 was released in October 2023 and we're still hearing about issues with the bike !
I hope you get it sorted 👍

If you take the XR back. Would there be one extra owner on the log book?
Possibly ways around it. But a bit of a faff.

Oh no that’s bad news…..but not surprising for me.

IMHO reject it. My first 1300 issues started with warnings the first time I took it out, had all sorts of problems, abandoned it in France due to it breaking down, got it back and it broke down again all in six months. Rejected and replaced. Error on my behalf.

I have its replacement a year and have had active suspension and battery issues from new. At the 6k service they replaced the battery, suspension pump and both shocks and I rode it 18 miles home. Took it out weekend before last and got lots of never seen warnings and experienced limp mode. So dealers have now fitted new throttle bodies and have the bike for continued testing so I enjoyed riding my faultless K100RS last weekend!

Genuinely if I wasn’t into this GS to the value I am I would be away to another bike or brand. Seems to be too many people having problems with these IMHO.

Hope you get sorted to your satisfaction.

Barry
Oh - that's not good to hear.

Why are you even hear if you think BM is so bad? I know plenty with 1300's and have had no issues. GS, GSA, ASA's.

@Adventure Boy can you not ask them to swap your 1300 for something similar?
I here you 😘
I have a GSA in my garage .
Just not one that breaks down on the first ride 😜

Haha fair enough. I can imagine it's frustrating to have a new(ish) bike broken so I get people's frustration in here.

I just got a quote to trade my 1250 in against a 1300 (they need 1250 stock apparently)..makes me think I'll just hold onto my 1250 :D

It's just the extra cost and "risk" of issues with a 1300. It was the GSA.

I might switch if BMW lower their APR to 4.9% but I'm quite happy with my "old girl" :D

Let me see if I got this right!! So many negative comments about the GS/GSA 1300, but then they say “if I could afford it or if they pay good money for my GS 1250 I would buy one” 🤣

correct, I did 23k miles on my 1250 and it didnt miss a bit. I have owned two 1300's that have had countless issues (one currently in BMW for further testing following throttle body replacement). that's the evidence based on personal experience.
