Since getting a GSA to go alongside my HP, my HP has stayed resolutely on the dirt rims and at times, I had considered either selling the SM rims or using the hubs to make up additional dirt rims.

Well, this week, I've had the bike on the SM rims and it's been an absolute hoot! A great reminder of just how much lighter this bike is compared to the GSA. Cornering, braking and acceleration are on a whole different level. And open up a completely different experience to riding the HP in the dirt.

So if you've got your SM rims kicking about in the back of garage, don't sell them! Dust them off, fit them and go for a play!

how do you compare the front ends? conventional forks v telelever

To me, it's like you have to work a lot harder and it's not as relaxing, but you get a lot more out of it - more feedback and more responsiveness. You very quickly get used to the dive.

That being said, I still consider myself a bit of n00b so I could be doing it wrong!
