Thought I would do a r1150 gs rallye as BMW forgot to do one

Shit mate , sorry to hear . Hope you and Hutchy s ok . I went out and turned back !

Bloody hell mate, sorry to hear that. Your bike was looking great. Fingers crossed it can be fixed, but more importantly at least you're here to tell the tale.:rob

Shame that mate am sure you will get it sorted as long as your ok after all there only bits of metal at the end of the day good job it wasnt the new one the same happend to me mate staigelwagon on here this time last year unfortunate for him there lass was on the back they were ok like hit black ice up keilder way take care mate spk soon

How stupid I was, we planed to go to Richmond meet there but the forecast was so nice we decided to meet at Middleton tessdale, bad mistake, to many shadows so the roads were not clearing, I was well pissed with the bike but when I got the phone call its not about the bike anymore I can fix that, anyway hutchys fine, his misses has got his feet up running round after him, I told him to sort his sell out for may, our trip to Ireland, but both very lucky, I had tkc 80s hutchy had tourance metzelers don't make any difference what tyres we had.

Very glad to hear you're both OK.

Telling that story has made me, and probably quite a few others, remember to be extra careful on colder days. Thanks for sharing.

Finally got round to repairing the gs railye, I thought I would wait till the sun came out to put it back together didn't take long I've sent the heads off to be painted, should be back this weekend, I went mad and decided to do them red, I'm hoping to take it upto the border bash but I've still the electric's to sort out as the right hand side controls are not responding strip down or replace the unit not sure yet,
Few little things to do, put a stranded screen on as the other tinted adjustable screen was beyond repair, brakes need bleeding crash bars needs to be touched up, two indicators smashed need to replace, thinking small LEDs, maybe some other jobs I haven't seen yet,,,,,

We'll it's back, went upto the border bash this weekend camped Friday night, I put 200 miles on her, only problem was the rear light will not come on must be a break in the wire as there's power to the switch and the front lights work, easy fix just pull new wire through, other than that bike rides great, few photos

I decided to have the heads painted red,

I just spent most of my morning at work reading your thread and am really inspired by what you have done, even after the "atmospheric intervention incident".

Thanks for taking your time to share it all with us.

Your GS looks fantastic!

Bike looks the bollox mate, well done !
