I've had an F800 since new, 13 years. Awesome bike, imo the best bike I've ever had. If I were to compare to the 1200, I'd say its the Land Rover Defender vs the Range Rover (1200). Agree with many of the comments, suspension will be tired, check exhuast for rot around the cat. Possibly stator and reg/rec need replacing. For that mileage, would think 4k tops.

I did similar with a Bike to Finland.
... but it was a on a rather old Kawasaki 550LTD

Best engine BMW have put in a motorcycle IMHO. 133,000 miles on mine and still going strong.

Mine must have been seriously abused and mistreated by its first owner as it did less than 12,000 miles before engine failure , bores/pistons/ big ends and balancer shaft bearing etc

very sparse ad, Wembley is a pretty shonky place from what I've seen, think I would be asking for a lot more info inc reg no , checking mot history, and wanting to know how long he had owned it, he also has no seller feedback only buyer feedback on eBay. tread carefully!
