throttle body balance

Hi folks

I want balance the throttle bodies on my 11gs using some vacume
gauges does any one know what they should be set at?

There's no measurement. You just balance them till they're the same on both sides.

Rollox to letting the garage do it. It's an easy five minute job, maybe ten minutes if you haven't done it before. Vacuum gauge of some description, attach, turn appropriate screws until both gauges read the same. There is a little more to it than that but if your spanner savvy you won't have a problem :thumb

Take a look at the link, MSM is ex B#W tec offering a great service and price to the club ;) works out a lot cheaper than buying your own gauges.

Septic, make sure you have valve clearance correct before balancing the throttle bodies.

Make yourself a manometer, take a length of timber 2" or so wide and 2 feet long then get 8 feet of clear tubing and fix the tubing in a U shape on the wood, pour in a small quantity of ATF fluid till the level is about halfway up the timber and you have the most accurate guage possible.
