Throttle By Wire - It's A Bit Shit

I’m loving the smooth light throttle action on my 1250GSA.

What’s not so great is when it decides it won’t give me more than about 20% throttle even when on the stop like this morning. Changing modes didn’t help, stopping and turning the ignition on and off again did. Not a problem I ever experienced with my TU.

It’ll be mentioned at the first service next week.

Sounds like the system had a bit of a brain fart.

What you don't want in this situation is for normal service to be suddenly restored while you have the throttle on the stop trying to get some response!

My experience of electronic ‘brain farts’ is that they don’t usually fix themselves completely.
