Just had my cables replaced at Rainbow in Rotherham. Did"nt think the old ones were too bad but its always had a heavy throttle. Wow what a fkin difference, it feels like a different bike , really responsive. I"m well impressed, just thought id share this if anyone was considering new cables. I was gonna do the job myself but you need hands like sparrows feet to get to the splitter box:augie

It's well worth doing though the cables alone came to nearly £100......its not a bad job I took the battery carrier off to repaint it which made the job easier. The Throttle bodies need balanced when you are finished. I set mine to click against the stops similtaneously when the throttle was shut and they only needed a slight tweak when they were balanced using a manometer. :)

At 6ft 4 and more stone than even most tossers, I got it done nothing to do with having hands like a Thai massage girl, but yes big improvement as you might expect, these were mine:augie:augie

The only t5ime my 86,000 miles 1150 let me down was when the throttl;e cables frayed (inners) at 80,000 so do change them as scheduled what a difference new ones make , feels like the bike has a new lease of life!.
