Throttle chain/ twist grip

Afternoon all. Recently imported an 84 r100rs from Germany. Bought unseen. Over all happy enough with it. Working thru a few jobs. Noticed the throttle action is very notchy. Stripped handlebar mount and the grip and pully are in a bad way. Is this mormal wear for an 84k klms bike? Where is best place to get replacements? motoworks not usable now in Ireland? any equivalent in europe?

Could be that it was not properly assembled and or Cables were very tight and once you get any damage it just gets worse

It's only alloy at the end of the day

Do you know about matching up the lines ?? when installing ?

Yes thanks. I've them back together after filing down the roughest parts. Have ordered replacments from Motorworks so I'll just pay the fees when they arrive. Missed the replies here in my haste to replace! Next time for sure.

You didn;t mention about matching the lines up ??

Lines matched up. Before i stripped it there was a chunk of play in twist grip. Lines must have bben off. Previous owner trying to disguise the issue maybe?
