Throttle not shutting off fully.

Mine had to have the exhaust headers replaced as I had the same issues as you (cleaning and greasing etc did not work)

Also I had to have the Throttle replaced (that was within a month of ownership)

And now its in today having its big service and needs the entire rear suspension replaced

Thank fuck I have warranty as its £1400 for the part alone on the rear suspension

2019 GSA with just short of 12k on the clock....

Jesus.... i hope my news is better 😮

Yes i know its been a long time.

Yesterday Williams picked up my bike from home.
got a call today and the throttle is being replaced £295

i have a service and MOT on top so it's going to be over £500.

At this point i just want my bike back, i really miss riding it, even commuting!
in typical fashion my bikes off the road and the weather is glorious!

More surprising is that fact i didn't get a call about the other errors that flagged up on my scan at home?
When the bikes returned i will test the suspension and different modes etc to see if its ok.
as for the TPS i will change that when i change the tyre.

I was going to MOT the bike locally but it ran out while off the road.
Williams did offer to deliver the bike back to my house, but i said i would pick it up.
which will be Thursday night.

Couldn't pick the bike up from BMW until this morning, working late each night.

so it cost me £508 for the new throttle, service and MOT
Which seems ok to me.

in the end they charged me £216 fitted for the throttle
Service 174.38
£78 to the VAT man

MOT subcontracted out for £39.65

Riding it home it's like a new bike, so smooth and even the quick shift seems smoother?
the throttle must have been going slowly over a long time and i've just got used to choppy revs.

its amazing how these things sneak up on you, i cant believe the difference riding home.

they also stamped my book up to date, it's not been stamped since 2020 lol
so that sorted i can enjoy the bike again 🥳

How much????
Remins me of an old saying:

Poor is the man whose happiness depends on another (or bmw either way, you are quids out)

Seeing as i was quoted £221 for the throttle grip, with heated grip and cruise control.
Is why i didn't do it myself.

Fitted professionally by BMW for £216 seems a bargain to me.
