So here's what's happened, ill give the full symptoms as it may help someone else one day
When we had that hot weather... well 3 days off it lol
i was riding in Dynamic mode as normal but the next morning at 6am going to work it was raining hard.
not wanting to be caught out on greasy roundabouts and being a tired wimp at 6am i pressed mode and selected RAIN
pulled in clutch.... nothing? still in Dynamic??
I tried this several times and nothing.
I've read this in the past its a clutch switch that's also used to shut off Cruise control.
Checked cruise control, working perfect... its not that?
Anyway before i know it im at work.
End of the day i get on the bike and press start.... bikes starts revving at 3500 revs wtf
once on the move it seemed to behave.
I tried the change mode thing again but this time i i forcibly rolled off the throttle... BINGO mode changed!
This morning i started the bike at 6am and woke all the neighbours with the 3500-4000 revs echoing round the back of the house!
again i forced the throttle shut, revs dropped to just above 1000 rpm
So question is what's the problem.... i've checked the cable at grip end all looks normal
i've checked the Barkbuster guards and end bars for restriction... although they have been on over a year, but seems ok.
without sounding like a total retard where does the other end of the cable go to, without stripping the bike into pieces lol
