Just had a call from a tearfull Roger no wifi or internet there so we'll have to wait on a full reports.

The guy's are overcome with emulsion the last 25k's were in sand and 44deg heat, bikes and people overheating but all safe, sound and shattered .

People from the villages had lined the last leg of the route estimated in the thousands shouting "welcome welcome"

And by the noise in the background the parties have started, Gambian drummers etc etc

wish I was flying out with the ladies but the school term just was not going to play ball... (head could not move it)

But hay ... never mind .... me and the kids going to meet Sid in Jersey for a suprise for his dads 80th Birthday bash..

Proff can you put us up the night before we fly .... 26th Feb me, martin and Hopefully Pete and char .....

So wont get to see all the lads but hope they will all attend our weekend bash here at Waffapool.....

Before I do, just got the following txt from Mikey, all sounds good

"Good to hear from you! Been travelling round looking at solar installs! Every1 well and enjoying experience! Binned me bike yet again going to fit stabilisers we r heading to coast tomorrow- should be cooler there- then fly out on monday have (more!) fun and take care! Look forward to the photies!!"

Right, let's try this piccie thing. I'll do a proper write up when home and all the piccies are back from the printers, yup, used that old fashioned stuff called film but in the mean time here's a few off my phone to give a feel of the (my) trip.......

First off is mine and Sockpuppets bikes on the M20 service area on our first night. The others were nearer the Eurotunnel further down the road. I made it out the next morning, Sockpuppet didn't and had an appointment with Steptoe and the others missed the train......I waited for them in Calais

Second night in France and we tuck into authentic French pizza in authentic French bowling alley. Even Bhud was defeated by the size of the pizzas
