thurso to perth........

if your going up the west then checkout the ferry from gourock to dunoon ,runs every 30mins only costs about £6 for bike and rider (if they bother to charge at all) from Dunoon A815 and A83 to Inverary , Inverary A819 to Dalmally,A85 to Tyndrum , A82 to Glencoe (turn right at glencoe and do a loop of Kinlochleven) then A82 all the way to Inverness, do this easy peasy in a day, magic roads all the way!!!!!!!!!!!:beerjug:

+1 when heading up the west coast :bow

The A939/A93 route is a fantastic ride though if heading up the east side :D

Lots of fantastic roads in the Highlands .... ridden most of them. I am however finding that the rough chip road surfaces do tend to be hard on the tyres  if you are making progress and covering lots of ground. Not too many bike tyre dealers in the Highlands so be warned of thinking the old ones will do .......
