As above really. When the bike warms up, the revs seem to be hanging at 2,00 rpm before dropping down.

Checked there is slack in the cables and it's present and correct.

Only seems to happen once the bike is nice n hot.

Any ideas on a cure?

Thanks:thumb

Might be a frayed cable
cant be much else yerve swapped all the other bits pal
10/10 for perseverance and hope it gets sorted soon :thumb2

Cables were all replaced fella, so it ain't that.

When it's cold it slows down straight away??

I'm wondering if it is an issue with the bob weights on the electronic ignition set up.

Bike rides great now and certainly sounds much better (quieter).

weak mixture/air leak/carbs out of sinc:rob

spray wd40 round all the intake joints and see if it upsets the rpm.....bingo fault found

Check valve clearances

I had one of these that did this and in the end it was the valve clearances closing up when hot

Spent the day with another guru today.

Turns out that one of the throttle butterflies was not central and it was stopping the throttle from returning fully :blast

Carbs were also full of shite and brown oily gunk.

All sorted now :thumb

Steve and Steve will be delighted to be known as 'Guru'

cheers Phil
