Tidworth ENDURO 2010

I did this last year on the XChallenge. It's a tough course, and provided it stays reasonably dry there shouldn't be anything that you can't ride on the course.

Last year it absolutely pissed down 10 minutes before the start. Not good for wrestling the biggest bike in the field around the course.

Actually, i've just checked my diary for this one, and it would appear i'm washing my hair on that day....:augie

Its hopefully going to be held on 28th November.

Club site here:

Entry form here:

I sent my entry and my son's in a few weeks back. Just spoken to organiser and they only have 35 entries so far and need more! They had over 100 in the past.:)

Come on everyone, it is great event and fantastic fun. Best 3 hours you can get, blasting around the normally restricted areas of Salisbury Plain. The Club officials are very helpful, not jobsworths at all, they do everything they can to help novices have a safe fun time. Even the other expert riders don't seem to mind us slow older riders getting in their way and were very encouraging.:)

Dollyrocket, don't worry about being a novice. When I did it for the first time last year I had only bought my KTM a few days before and was a complete and utter novice as I lined up at the start. I was slow and unfit but had a fantastic time. My son is entering for the very first time on his CRF230.

Would be great to get a few more from this site. Always been well supported from here in the past.

Theres a great pub just down the road if you need to stay over on the Saturday night before the event on Sunday morning:

Any more questions just ask but it really is worth making the effort for this one. :)

It is now definitely going ahead.:)

I'm booked in the Crickerters with my son and looking forward to it.

Just need some more novices for us to compete against.

O.K. Crapaud you have your wish. Two enduro virgins have just sent entries in for this one, we’re both on Husaberg FE450’s. Anyone else from here up for it?

Not sure if I'll be fit enough though, no point training now:(, sounds like it will be a challenge just to make one lap:eek

*logs in on mothers account*

(This is Crapaud's son)

I'm entering this on a crf230 against my dad on a KTM 300EXC...

Not really a fair fight tbh...

But hopefully i'm fit enough to outlast him on the track...

Or get him really pissed the night before...:beerjug::jager

GOING-HARD and FROZEN,

I hit it the ground real hard with my head on lap 3, SMACK DOWN very hard on polished frozen ground, manage to return to the finish with the visse and peak hanging down.

New helmet this time

3 laps was me done, pulled into pits first rider i see is Sid and he managed 4 laps.

me 1 fall very hard and i flipped the bike on a rise.

i think my fastest lap was 40 mins, Dave Biales was doing 15 min laps he came past me like i was stood still, I was stood still looking into this double raveen I was ment to jump.

He cleared it in the air.

Sounds like you had fun (I think :D) :clap I'd be far too scared to enter something like that :eek
People like Dave Biales are from another planet :bow

Didn't realise you were riding steve!

I was going to come up and marshall, but didn't finish getting the bike back together until lunchtime today.

Well done to both of you on the 3/4laps respectively!

Pics will be up there when they get updated...

After checking the website it turns out i beat my dad by 12 points. :JB:JB:JB:JB:JB:JB:JB:JB:JB:JB

I know this is only because at the end of the first lap he stopped at a hazard and i overtook him and beat him to the line by 12 seconds but it still counts...

I took about 20 falls... 3 of them "hard", ended up nailing my gear lever in so much i couldn't change out of first gear, managed to bend it back after 10 minutes attacking it with a tree with then drop it 5 minutes later and bend it even worse... So i gave up and cruised back at 5mph in first gear...

Got the father to fix /clean my bike up before i return in february now... :)

My dad thought he won because he did finish his 4th lap about 15 minutes before me but that's not how it works...:D

When the pics get updated i'm 99% sure i had a big crash right infront of the cameras so i'm ready to look like an idiot...

entered late, man it was hard  in the FIRST 300 yards was a log jump I got all wrong the back of the bike hit me in the base of the spine and I was in a lot of pain for the first lap, I also flipped the thing on a climb near the Golfcourse, wacking my wrist on a post.

Then a hard fall, normal front wheel in a polished rut then fast off, face smacked on the ground, glad I was wearing my full face, nearly didn`t.
