O the dilemma!

Over the years, I've got a number of different toys that do a number of different things and I'm in half a mind to keep them and use them whilst travelling for a number of months on the bike (no extra outlay, but more wires/chargers/things to worry about) or do I chop the whole lot and buy something up to date that combines them all? (initial outlay but only one or two toys to worry about). The cost isn't necessarily an issue, but I don't want to spend if there's no significant advantage.

Of course, if I do make the replacement(s), what do I get?

I currently have;

Laptop Dell D610 - used for internet, MSoffice progs and a few games
Pocket PC Ipaq 2790 - also with TomTom europe used as GPS
Nokia E50 Basic Mobile (no camera etc) - Ace battery life!
Point and shoot pocket camera(s)
DSLR camera Nikon D50
Micro Video Cam
Action Cam
basic MP3 player
Very nearly at the point of buying an ereader
Bluetooth stereo headset

Your views would be appreciated! :thumbs

I always thought ebook readers were a wank until I bought one over Christmas. 7" screen that displays most ebook formats, 8 hour battery life, plays any video format you can throw at it, mp3 player even while you read, and photo viewer. Takes SD cards to augment the 2mb internal memory. I have so many pdf ebooks on my pc that you can only read while seated at the screen but they all live on SD cards now and the reader does a fine job of them. :thumb2

Obviously you need to ditch the phone and get an iPhone,:hide
But then, how about one of these:
<object width="480" height="385"><param name="movie" value="http://www.youtube.com/v/fyYujjP5J-k?fs=1&hl=en_GB"></param><param name="allowFullScreen" value="true"></param><param name="allowscriptaccess" value="always"></param><embed src="http://www.youtube.com/v/fyYujjP5J-k?fs=1&hl=en_GB" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" allowscriptaccess="always" allowfullscreen="true" width="480" height="385"></embed></object>
Its got a gps homing mode - i can think of all sorts of tricks to get up to with a webcam on board:D

Or a Nokia N8, which also takes HD movies with its 12mp camera, comes with excellent Nokia maps updated free for life, full office suite, quality mp3 player.....well, everything you listed other than a brilliant battery life. It's not even bad at internet stuff, except porn.

Hexacopter!!!! Not sure what the border guards of the Stans will say when they see that strapped to the panniers :D
If I was staying... I'd get one!!!
