Sorry to do this but Im a bit miffed.
Yesterday after riding the North Yorks moors we found ourself at the top of Carlton Bank. The café there, Lord Graystokes? was reported to be banning motorcyclists. Im happy to report this is not true and we managed to get warmed up with a pot of tea and a few buns.
Two trail riders turned up and walked in to the café with helmets on dressed in PVC trousers and jackets dripping with slime and blobs of mud, they purchased two teas and sat down inside on the cushioned seats.
Whats wrong with these people, only fellow riders and sellers of off road kit like trail riders, so why be so bloody minded. It would only take a few minutes to remove the filthy outer layer. Im assuming you are not dressed in ladies tights and a thong under the PVC.
There are no excuses for what they did, and I can fully understand why a café owner would prefer a car load of suited OAPs to sit at a table and buy lunches instead of selling two teas.
Inexcusable,
