How the f*ck can I justify depending this much on a HD when I could have something a good looking and reliable as this for a fraction of the price?

C'mon guys, if this had a Sporty motor in it, we'd all be drooling into our over-priced, designer labelled lager.

I reckon real bikers like Steptoe would appreciate it for what it is, wtf, I reckon even Att would like this!

Probably because it looks 10 times better than any Harley's that have been posted on this site and can cover more than 10 miles without anything breaking/falling off :D

Fuck right off...it's a bodge job...you seen the "hard tail " conversion...by Dexion....? It has the power of a moped and the character of an insurance salesman.....:D

Harley Davidson street glide quarter mile time 14.7 secs. Virago 535 quarter mile 14.2 secs. Power of a moped? :D


Mind! I wouldn't want to be seen one and I don't think the power to weight ratio would be the same if I did.

i've always like the 535 since they came out - granted they needed butching up a bit, but a nice drivetrain is there.

PS heres a nice little vid with one in it..and some nice eye candy for the old duffers... ;)

theres no harleys in it though

 
I have a confession to make....many, many years ago a mate came round...proud as punch with his new motorcycle.....he offered me a spin...well, you can't turn down a mate, can you? So I rode his 535.....
I've ridden al sorts of bikes over the last 35 years...... And I've never, ever...been so embarrassed to be seen on a bike...and that includes.MZs, CZs.....even a fucking Minsk......so, I stand by my comment, it's a soulless, mundane piece of junk...for new riders, girlies...and dwarves.....:D

You are gonna love this! My first bike was a 1974 CZ 125 in yellowy gold with square edged Barum tyres. And I loved it! Of course it broke down loads, but I always fixed it (bodged it) myself somehow. The favourite fix was silver fag paper around its only fuse. The journal bearing collapsed at 8,000 miles. I pushed it 7 miles home, bought a Haynes manual, and rebuilt the engine myself, by following the pictures and working it out for myself. I rode it all over Wales on my days off work, thinking nothing of popping off to Aberystwyth with my German Army greatcoat to fend off the elements. My first adventure bike, because every trip was an adventure. You are all forgetting- it ain't what you ride that counts- it is that motorcycling is fun. It connect you to the elements, and pits you against them. A long journey can be a form of meditation. Who gives a flying f**k what you ride, I don't.
