This was a true Timpo Special and one of the hardest, fastest longest rides I've done in a long time. Two days later and I'm still wrecked, so, a sign of a good one:thumb

Sadly the photos won't do it justice but here goes:)

Before even starting we discover just how many tossers it take to change a flat KTM tube...four:mmmm

Then the KTM tries to take an easy route to avoid the puddle:blast

Only three helpers this time:D

The weather couldn't have been better and some of the very difficult lanes had us sweating buckets. Nice lane here though:)

Our first quick fuel stop

I bet the owners of this house are delighted to have a legal lane running through their garden, but we take care not to rip up their lawn and they seem ok:thumb

One goes ahead to open the gate so there should be no wheel spinning:nono

Here Timpo behaves:cool:

Hmmm spend saturday afternoon watching the GP on TV or go here...no contest:augie

Time for a brief pose:cool:

Don't make a mistake here, it will hurt:blast

An anxious moment:D

After downing a can of Red Bull, we approach Weak Bridge Lane:eek: , much more difficult than it looks with polished rocked under the soil.
Here I have to wait half way up as Hairy's bike, which was upside down is put back on track:thumb2

Hairy wasn't the only victim to be caught out here

KTM down to one helper as we tire:P

Timpo brings up a stricken DRZ, and you can see the satisfaction in his eyes that the lane claimed a few more victims.
He's an evil man that Timpo;)

Good day....

Nice pics Tim.
Not sure what mileage we covered but it was up there as a long one.
I'm in some pain still as yesterday I spent the day clearing two lanes with chainsaw and Land Rover, so swinging on pullifts and lifting logs hasn't helped.
Got some cracking lanes to add to the next ride!
Well done to all who attended, and I'll see you all soon.
Next trail ride details are to be posted soon.
Timpo.

A brief rest in beautiful surroundings

And Hairy hands out the Battenberg cake:)
135192633-L.jpg

A huge fallen Ash blocks our way and we're not going to clear that with a Leatherman:nono

The photo's show only a fraction of the variety of tracks that day, we finished a 6pm after riding hard and fast all day with only a few brief stops.

For anyone planning long and varied terrain trips on their GS I can recommend this as a way of getting 'bike fit':clap

Thanks again to Timpo for leading with his amazing knowledge and enthusiasm for our lanes:clap :clap

I have an almost identical picture to your second one on my phone. A KTM stuck in the exact same spot! No names, no packdrill, eh Jim :D .

very very very gutted.

So gutted i could cry. Saturday was spenrt getting the prilla ready, a few dry runs to see if i could get it on the back of the pickup on my tod. sorted, filled up the fuel can and i'm ready, sat and watched the Motogp, very good race, listened to Flipfly talking crap, watched Rolinsdan try to fit crash bars to his otherhalfs GS650. all good. Then on Saturday night i fired up the laptop top to get my bearings on the RV and DOH. :blast :blast :blast :blast :blast :blast :blast :blast :blast :blast :blast
it was a saturday ride. ARRRRRRRRRRRRRRR bowlacks.
so sorry guys, Syco no show for the second time, It won't happen again.:thumb

Nice Photos Tim, did the berg make it up 17 tonne weak bridge lane?
I knew that I would be missing a good one but that's life I suppose.:thedummy.
The lack of posts after the event was the clue that it might have been a hard one.
Is the byway at the RV point still blocked by a large tree?
I've got my fingers crossed that I can make the next one:beerjug:

Great photos Tim that looks like a great route, i really need to get down with the DR :thumb

Going to pull something..

Eh Tim.. if you keep going like this, you going to pull something..lol..

Looks like another great day..

So that's the Llangollen GS ride route sorted them! ;)

Again, I've missed a good 'un.
