Timrsert or Heliciol

The Rh central plug on my 1150 Rockster has stripped….. timesert or helicoil? Anyone know any decent engineers in Bristol. It’s on a trike so I’ll have to remove the head, it’s a bit more complicated than my old Airheads. Steptoe has done a decent write up, pity about the pictures disappearing, but he did do it in 2006.

Helicoil/v-coil/re-coil is perfectly acceptable.. You won't get a timesert in there anyway I'm sure.

why remove the head ? grease up the cutting tools or leave them dry . dry do it near TDC and blow out any chips of ali .

its a proper engineering job I think, that plug is so deep in the head......progress being made. exhausts came off easily, as did injectors, just got to find TDC

in which case i would go for a top hat insert made by the firm .
I've had t/serts come out ,just put a new one in , ( never take the plug out hot ) , helicoils if they mess up you can get them out and re-do them.
