Has anybody tinted their screen, either using tinting film or spray? And to what level of sucess?

Just wondering :augie

funny enough i went to see a guy about tinting my screen with film and the answer is "no" because you have to heat up the screen which would obviously melt, he also said he would have made a fortune for every biker that had asked him the same question. spray don't work either as the screen is coated "can't remember which side he said" but it WILL peel off evenually.
so it's buy a new screen:blast££££££££

Do what we do offshore with safety specs. Simply soak screen in bath overnight with loads of used teabags and hey presto nice tint and best of all its free :)

My mate John sprayed a scratched screen with Barbi paint
he did it on the inside so it wouldnt get washed off or scratched again
He acheived a very good smoked effect darker or thicker at the base and lighter to nearly no "tint" at the top
Looked fab
He was going to chuck it and buy another but after the paint jobby he kept it - the new owner was impressed when he sold the bike :thumb2

I have tried using tinting spray on my winglets with ok results. Not to sure about doing a complete screen though, as it might look a bit patchy.
