TKC damage

With no replies I must accept this was just a random crappy tyre that I've been unfortunate to receive.
Note to all if you don't already, personally inspect in detail every tyre before it goes on, and don’t rely on your fitters to do this for you.
The damage to this tyre was hidden after fitting by the lubrication goop they slap on your tyre. 20 days after fitting and the first wash the water sitting in grooves was very obvious.
I've been dealing with a Spanish tyre company and correspondence through Madrid Continental.
They say it was caused by under inflation and not poor storage conditions as I suspect. I say it must have been there at fitting as the pressures were checked at the garage after mounting by myself, checked every ride and I certainly didn't lower them outside their recommended.
They've eventually paid out half what I wanted being tyre and fitting cost, not sure why they even paid that if it's not a confession of some guilt.
Check your tyres before and if you spot damage after fitting its always worth a chase to get a bit of money back at least.
So lesson learnt another TKC ready to be burnt.

Running too hot, underinflated for conditions, for too long.

Yes, I've seen it before on my 1150GSA two up on a Euro jaunt, with some extended Autobahn sections.
