TKC80 tire pressures??

OK - shod my GSA with some TKC80s at the weekend and set them at the standard 1-up air pressures. Quite a different feel to Tourances/Battlewings. Front seems quite vague and squidgy. To be expected, and just an observation.

Going to experiment with them for a while, and now have 2 x sets of wheels, 1 set with Battlewings.

Was just wondering what air pressure folks on here run TKC80's at when using these tyres on the road ???

I run 32/36 normally - don't notice a lot of difference even when running 25/29

33/36 according to Continental. Ran them at this on the road at GOTC. Seemed fine.

I run mine on 2.5 and 2.9 bar, was two up to GOTC and that was fine. I tend to leave them atthis when solo too and doesn't make any difference to handling as far as I can tell.

Normally cold, can't see why they would change it just for TKCs ...


WindyC, they do feel a bit vague at first, you have just gone from a modern radial belted carcase to the "old" bias-belted type ( cross-ply ). Once you get used to the feel they are much better than you would think

They must be for one up, same as for the trial attacks I ran. 2-up is 2.5/2.9.

TBH, it doesn't make that much difference when running on the road with the TKCs as far as I can tell.

To allow for the wife jumping on the back sometimes I leave them in between.
