Guys

I am entered into the Sammy Miller classic trial run by North Berks on my GSA 1150. Dont ask - it involved a pub, a couple of beers and a bet.

I have gone down to 15PSI with no problems, but every PSI will count in a trial. I'll have CO2 mini bottles so if it does come off the rim I assume I can reinflate OK.

But any recommendations?

There's no real roadwork to worry about.

Thanks, Mike

15 is waaay too high for trials really. I run a R80 g/s on pirelli mt43 trials tyres in local LDTs as well as longer stuff like the Lands End. I tend to use 7 to 8psi if its rocky to avoid pinch punctures, 4 to 5 on anything else. HTH

Shoot me down flames here if I am wrong but....

MT43's on an R80 I'm guessing will be tubed tyres and prob using bead lockers.
TKCs on an 1150 will be tubeless and will need a bit of pressure to keep em on the rims. 15-18 would be as low as I would want to go and on a bike as heavy as an 1150 should be fine:thumb

I'd put HD tubes in and run as low as possible with risking damaging the rim.

I run tkc`s on my 1200 ADV, the lowest ive run them is 15psi on the rear, and 20psi on the front. that low was not good to ride on. So normal offroad riding i run the rear at 25psi and the front at 30psi. Seems to work for me. The bike weight of the bike on lower pressures make the tires move about far to much.

End of the day have fun, and good luck on the odiham rally, well dog off i couldnt get entry. :(
