They say that there are none so pure as the recently converted. I confess. Bless me father for I have sinned. I have owned a R1150GS since November 2002 and it has taken me until 4:00pm on March 23rd 2005 to fit a set of TKC80 tyres.

F*ck me they are fun. I hit the first roundabout and I thought "oh mummy, what have I done". I hit the second roundabout and thought "hmmmm....". I hit the third roundabout and thought "so where's the next bend?". Then I got back to my mate's house. He has 50 acres of farmland. I threw the bike into his boggiest field and it came out grinning and shouting for more. I love these tyres!

£126 ride in ride out from Steve at F&B in Sandbach for a slice of GS paradise. Why didn't I do this earlier? Madmountainmain and Ian B, consider your card marked. You told me the tyres were good but you didn't insist that I fit them.

The only problem I have now is that it is dark and I am pissed, therefore I can't go out on the bike to enjoy being a total hooligan on my new (old) bike.

TKC80. YKIMS. Just Do It (TM)

Me too!

Me too!!

Three of us took our bikes down to my mates house in Girona last weekend ready for our Morocco jaunt in April.

First time tkc80's all of us.

Weather was cold and wet for the first 350 miles, and then just cold (very) for the rest.

Started off nervously, but in no time were flying along at the same rate as we would have been on the 'old' tourances.

All decided that they're the only tyres we'll fit in future.

I think they move around a bit more, because of the knobbly shape, and at very slow speeds in town, it feels like you're riding on corrugated iron, but the grip on tarmac is amazing! And they're cheap!!!!

OK, I've got to get some new ones this week,so I will see if I can get the "pack of three" offer up and running again.Anyone interested.I think it was a minimum of 15 sets last time to get the really good price(45 tyres minimum/30Rears +15 Fronts)

Ditto, love em too, but my rear is 3/4 used at 900 miles

Still, they are cheap. :)

My last rear only did 1700 miles and that was looking like a slick did about 270 miles today and can see the wear on this current one might get 1500 miles from it:eek:

Mind i was chasing and passing a ducati 916 on the Dukes Pass:D
