Guys and Gals...

I have read a few threads on here as to whether the TT mounts are worth it???

Is the vibration that much of an issue???

Is the £100+ for the TT one worth all the money???

I guess I am looking to see how many of you go to the expense of the TT ones, and those who don't... and if this then causes Sat Nav failures due to extra vibs...

Any suggestions Gratefully rec'd

Jacko

Its a lot of money to pay for a mount - BUT It is a really well made piece of kit that does not allow the TT Rider to "Drill" the contacts on the back of the unit. This alone means that it has paid for itself. My recommendation is that if you want a stable , eye level mount that will keep your GPS safe, it is a good buy ..... if you are buying it as a farkle .... save your £100!

You're connected to the largest reference library in the known Universe and you're asking what a farkle is......:nono

Just this once..... http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Motorcycle_farkle

Ha Ha.. You are right... I am connected to the largest ref library.... I asked.... and I found out! :augie

Clever innit :bounce1

Its not for FARKLE... its for proper use, just need to be sure which is the right kit to buy. And with the WEALTH of experience on here, who better to ask.............. :clap

Apparently not. In three years of riding some rough paved roads, my Garmin hasn't failed and I doubt it will.

There is enough "spring" in my RAM mount, and all for about £10.

Are there any alternatives apart from mounting a RAM on the bars that put it at eye level?

I have just gone for the TT mount like the one above on my 08 GSA. Expensive but puts it in perfect vision and extremely well made.

I have been looking on ram mount web site, what parts did you use for this set up, to mount on the hand guard

thanks Dazzle

For what its worth I'm quite happy with the Ram mount that came with my TT Rider2. Used it for about 18000 miles so far without a problem.

Nice write ups, thanks for quick reply, think I will do the same for my etrex.
