To Trim or not to Trim...

Going to get a sheepskin to put on the seat... so my question is...

Should I get it trimmed down to 1 inch (as some proper seat pad manufacturers do) or leave it as shaggy as it comes? Or perhaps trimmed to 2 inches as a kind of compromise!

Why the heck do some people trim their sheepskin seat covers anyway in terms of pros and cons?

All opinions welcomed.

The only time you need to trim is to make it look bigger, I've left min furry!

There is no odour as long as I wear good quality incontinence pants
After parking in the rain I just knock excessive water off with my hand (only because mine is attached with paracord, if there was elastic I could remove and shake off excess water) The sheep up on the mountain dont get waterlogged do they

Best "add on" I ever bought, £9 and what a difference, b*gger the sergeants, these things are Warrant Officers. Washes out a treat, cool in summer, warm in winter and great for using as a pillow cover when camping.

Picked up my sheepskins today from a local supplier. I ended up getting two fuzzy ones but had one problem... the wife has put one in front of the fire and one at the end of the bed. Looks like I'll be going back tomorrow to get two more. I'm going to try one 'au natural' and one 'crazy' one. I'll post a few pics and a comparison after I've notched up a few miles on them.

Initially I must say it feels brilliant but it was only a 40 miles ride...

jusst hang up to dry after a good soaking
