I've obtained a TT rider and very nice, if slightly unnecessary, it is too. The mounting bracket that it comes with fits the handlebar nicely next to the mirror, but doesn't fit the oval screen mounting bar on the 1200GS. To fit it above the RPM gauge I have bodged it by sleeving the bar with some plastic water pipe. I have run a power lead under the side panel to the aux power socket and soldered the wires onto the back connections. The TT Rider now turns itself on automatically with the ignition!

The problem is the mounting is to the screen bar is a bodge, and I don't completely trust it not to move over rough road services! Has anybody found a mount that fits an oval bar and will fit the 1/2 inch ball on the back of the TT Rider mount? It need to be adjustable at the bar end to allow fine adjustment of the TT Rider above the RPM gauge but below the screen!

Any advice gratefully recieved!

If you search this forum the subject of mounts was dealt with Keba and SN1P3R who should the first tweaks.

On the oval rail, look at RAP-319 shim adaptor with a RAM-B-149Z and then get two longer M3 screws and washers. You could also consider the Migsel (migsel.com) mount option for the GS1200 then add arm and diamond base with again, some M3 screws.
