you seem to be the one to talk to - being an employee and obviously in the knowMy TomTom Rider has been round the whole of Europe except for Spain (next year) and in total has done around 25,000 miles and counting. Tar'in them all with your brush is not representative of the products quality and I dont have a issue with Customer Service and I work for them.
ok here i go - i have never used satnav in my puff preferring to use Michelin maps and suchlike - yes i occasionally get lost though i emphasize occasionally - i am however becoming lazy and was pondering the purchase of a satnav device - i have come across tom tom rider v.2 europe second edition priced £323.15 - linky - http://www.mynewcheap.co.uk/products/details/tomtom-rider-v2-europe-2nd-edition/10649/ - in your honest opinion would this device suit my requirements - i mainly ride in the UK with maybe a couple of european trips per annum - i feel the main requirements would be ease of set up - ease of use - easy updates - what do you reckonlooks like a zumo thenwhat do you reckon
Much better routing and more user friendly than the Garming Nuvi, 2610 and 2810 in my experience - great piece of kit

to anyone thinking of buying tom tom rider v2 your money will be better spent buying a very large bag of sweets,i have had mine for two years and wished i had never heard of this company there customer services are the worst i have ever experienced in my life and i am 57 yrs old the unit never works when i actually need it to it has been back several times and takes ages to be returned i have asked for my money back but get no reply i have spent hours and hours on the internet /phone trying to resolve several problems all to no avail now i cannot even update my unit as tom tom home will not down load onto my computer i have had two computer guys look at this, as tom tom cannot fix it after 2 hours on the phone /computer ,the guys told me the problem is with tom toms programme and a lot of people are having the same problems so if you want to be driven insane buy a tom tom![]()
