New here, so Hi. I have a TT rider V2. I could never get the unit to charge via the 'docking shoe' (TT speak!). I contacted TT after checking the shoe with a multi meter, pins open circuit - power arriving from the cable, but no continuity to the pins. This unit was replaced with 8 days of warranty left. The replacement unit is worse! It has a short and flattens my 1200 GS battery in a couple of hours. As a mechanical designer, I would have to say that if I had designed this I would be ashamed! This is not robust enough for motorcycles! I suggest TT start a programme of Accelerated stress testing on this system - OR, listen to customers and accept that this is a flawed system!

Given up on TOMTOM, bought a GARMIN 660 (Just under £400 from Handtec).......

Same here, I've two TT2 mounts now.......both replaced FOC by TomTom. They say that, should it be outside the warranty...etc.etc. that they'd give you the option of returning item or me paying for replacement. However, on both occasions, I've had a brand spanking new one arrive within the week.......no charge.

The problem I have is with it connecting with the Autocom Bluetooth dongle - the sound cuts out after a couple of minutes........bloody infuriating !

Yes, i had a pcb fuse blow on mine. You need to pull the hinge pins outward, difficult but doable without too much damage. Then just four security screws to undo on the back and you have access to the board. Check the small rectangular component at the top right, labelled 2A. I just smashed a 3A lighting fuse and soldered the fuse wire across it, reassemble and start charging.

I was having problems with my TTR1 not charging, I read this and tried it. it took me 5 mins and bingo, Thanks for posting this.
