Tomtom Rider In-Line Fuse

I want to put an inline fuse for my tomtom rider...what rating should I use here ????

1 amp.

a quarter will blow too easily......especially when putting it in (surge to a potentially flat battery in the unit)

Remember the function of a fuse is to protect the wiring, not the device.

1 sq mm cable (thinnest generally available car/bike-type wire) is rated at 8.75 amps, so a 5 amp fuse will be fine. Although lower-rated fuses are available, they are not so common and may be difficult to replace when you are away from home.

I have no fuse in my Tom Tom, wired via bike canbus skt, but I agree that 1 amp is the minimum to use.
