Hi, Has anyone contacted Tony Archer recently by phone? I'm trying to get a spare seat recovered and over a two day period this week no one answered the phone. Today I tried at least 5 times and recieved a recorded message " Tony Archer is busy at the moment but if you would like to try later in the day someone will be here'' Well needless to say no one was there. :augie
Perhaps some of you locals might know?

I visited to have my seat done a week or so ago and it's just him and his wife who work there, there's no receptionist...

...you might just have to keep trying. Sorry, I don't suppose this post helped, really. :blast

mmmh, maybe thats the answer to go up there :) Mind you, I'm getting the phone calls down to a fine art now, letting it ring 4 times before it cuts off to the answer phone message. :D

My decision to visit him was almost a spur-of-the-moment thing - I had been trying to get a local upholsterer (in Dundee) to do my seat, with little enthusiasm from him - so when I found out that I had to make a trip to Lincoln, a side trip to Tony was slotted in.

However he was expecting me, I'd phoned the week before. Oh and if it helps, he starts work about 6:30a.m., so you could try a really early call. And if you do decide to visit, consider that he might be taking a holiday...

Freeloader thanks for the info. I might just try an early morning call and yes it is a long way from London, to turn up unannounced!

"Think yourselves lucky Phil Archer isn't doing it. You'd be in for a long wait."...but sadly he is not recovering.

Managed to get through in the end, spoke to Tony, a really nice bloke, and sorted.
