Got an '09 R1200GS (with all the options) on test ,should I buy or not ?
Will try it for a week and see.

I picked up my new GS three weeks ago and I’ve not looked back. If you have convinced yourself that you don’t need the Adventure, I say GO FOR IT.

Just been trying the lugage ,very neat the way it compreses.
Its a big and heavy bike but not so bad on the move .

No-one needs the Adventure unless they're planning some serious and extended unpaved road work.

Don't join the posers - get an ordinary GS and save some money;)

Now on day 8 of my new GS - even running in is great.

The bike has lots of character - the indicators seem awkward at first, the fuel gauge needs some mental adjustment & I've stalled it a few times - only once at the head of a traffic queue though, and sounded the horn unintentionaly.
I used my old honda yesterday to give it a run and wobbled for the first mile, it seemed so crude :blagblah.
The bike has all I need........ but for everything else theres Nippy norms!

Enjoy your new bike - but dont look back on what you may have had before!!

Here's what I think.......

I agree:thumb2 BUT....the new GS SE is a cracker, available next month and I would be tempted...not much more than my standard GS was 2 years ago (with a few bits added):drool

Crap.

Some prefer the looks of the GSA.

If nothing else, the GSA give the convenience of the large fuel tank. Officially 33l, but takes ~37l from near empty. Giving you a fully useable whopping range of ~350+miles on a tank without the hassle of refills at ~200m on a regular GS.
