Took the R9T and the DJI Neo2 out for a spin

That’s pretty cool. How much controlling of the drone do you do when it’s in the air? Good example is towards the end where it’s in front then slips out to a side view.

I’m very interested in this.

Once it's in the air and I've setup the shot, I'm not controlling anything at all. It's very impressive indeed. It's not perfect in that there's lidar to the front, but the side sensors are based on camera only.

Same. Absolutely amazing. Got A 60th coming up in a few months and might treat myself. How about the editing. Which software are you using?

I was actually looking at the new DJI Avata2 but not sure if it’s worth all the money….. need to do some research…..and besides going US next week so might pick one up cheaper…..

Advice welcome

For simple little clips like that I use DJI Mimo, great results in just a few minutes and simple to use. Very important in my case. 😊👍

I have the Avata 1 and it's great fun flying FPV. But its a totally different tool to the Neo2. All depends on what you want to use your drone for really.

cheers - thought that may be the case perfect for beauty shots of the bike in action ...... hmmmm interesting

does it have to be wind free as well ? (the environment not the user)

Lol, a wind-free user definitelty makes for a better working environment! DAMHIK :). You'll get away with a bit of breeze but on full-on windy day the Neo2 would struggle as it's a pretty light unit. For windy conditions like that you'd be better off with something more hefty.

I saw an advert for the Neo2 when it was first launched and thought wow! I’d like to try my hand at a good ‘oh no not another moto vlog’, as I like the creative process of film. But, I’m just worried it’ll ruin the purity of the ride - for me, to get the shot - for others.

Thanks, yes, I was also looking at the Avata 2 and looking at the possible new 3 thats due shortly but what I want it for is a simple ''Follow Me'' drone that I can use for bike trips which will film me or a group. FPV indeed is toally different and also a different price class.
However my mate bought one of the first gen DJI when they were about £900. Prices have dropped incredibly as have the possibilities so I think the Neo 2 will do what I want.
