SWMBO has offered to buy me a Tool Cabinet for my birthday today, 49 Years Young.

I have been looking at Halfords professional Black/Gold set, seems very nice, complete set top and bottom, £300.00.

Any thoughts, any others that are better, better value etc

Comments welcome ( I'll be wishing I hadn't said that:eek:  )

Many thanks

Go for a Snap-on starter kit...only £5,581.00....

I'll have 2 then Sir, they suit you Sir:cool:

I prefer the halfords pro red ball bearing cabinets, plenty to choose from in the range compared to the black one and at the mo they are on sale 1/3 off

Mac tools are well worth a look, I've had the west coast chopper set for 3 or 4 yrs now, and have proven to be as good as all my snap on tools, worth a viewing.

I saw a Teng tools stacking roll cab for £2k recently that was fully equipped with just about every tool you could ever need including measuring instruments, bearing pullers, socket sets up to 3/4" drive etc etc. 1001 items in total. I reckon its worth investing in if you can, I've spent thousands on tools over the years and they still don't compare with the teng set up.

I own some Teng stuff and it is good quality, not quite up there with Snap-On and Mac but close enough.
