Hi All

I'm thinking of getting a BMW top box and fitting the mounting plate myself as BMW will charge me 1.5hrs labour. Does anyone have any experience of this and will it prove to be a pain.

I do know that I will have to cut the plastic cover on the back

Any advice would be appriciated

Take a look here. It's aabout the Hepco and Becker rack but exactly the same procedure. :thumb

With care it's possible to use a Dremel small sanding drum (using the BMW supplied templates) with all the rear deck in place........

I just undid the three screws which hold the rearlight assembly in place and covered it all to stop the plastic debris getting everywhere....ten minute job, tops......!

Cheers
