Could hear it on one side, quite a noise, bit like diesel knock. When I first had the cover off, I was lucky to hear the pushrod end click back on the inlet valve, this was once it was cold after the noise was there when it was hot. It must have been in the out position and with the valve closed. Lucky. Have you got a noise!

Well, it's got lots of noises! But I've come to recognise most of them and I'm not bothered. But when it's hot, they're is a noise ethic sounds a little like someone hammering a piece of steel against another. I'ts done it since I had it so clearly is not terminal. But I guess I don't know what it should sound like. It's changed a little since I got back from Italy, which suggests it is 'something'. But I'm interested in your story and I'll keep it in mind it it develops any more
