OK folks am disappointed, went for a ride this morning to empty the tank ready for the respray to get rid of the petrol stains...

I am having great difficulty getting above 120 indicated. It seems at that she is running at 6.750 rpm and around she would not move above 7,000 for long (did not spend a lot of time looking).

Given that 120 indicated is approx 112 true that would mean even if I had the longest straight she would max out at 124.

However it would need to be a very long stright, also down hill with a following wind as I don't think she has the grunt at the top range to do it.

Yet many others claim 125 - 130 plus. Have I missed something in the laws of physics?

What is it?

What is it you are riding 1100 or 1150 or 1150GSA?

Ever the optimist!:D

Fast

I have seen an indicated 135mph - 140mph on the clock.

Didn't look too long or closely for obvious reasons.

The bike was pulling well in 6th and could probably have gone a little quicker if the Skye bridge hadn't have been in the way.

I have a 2002 1150Gs with Y piece, Remus and K&N filter.

Bike has done 20,000 miles so begining to loosen up I guess.

Garmin registered 126mph as max speed for that run.

131 on my 1100GS which was 119 on my GPS and the straight was not that long. How many miles have your bike done? They only start going really fast after about 40 000 miles ;)

I know I've posted this before but when it's loosened up.................
