Bumble Bum
that looks like my Devil of a bike look at the trip counter
Spooookyyy must add this speed was down hill

:p1zzed:

141 mph on the GSA whilst having a go with a Busa and ZX12,
I know the speedo over reads but they didn't get past.:D

Having a good go at keeping up

Managed to get an accurate 131 mph on my R1100GS Running with 900 monster. My GS is not totally standard but I weigh 16.5 stone and am 6'6" tall. At those speeds she vibrates so bad it is virtually impossible to ride her it is more a case of hanging on.

I my case it is not the ability to go fast it is the confidence to ride the bike on corners rather than pootle. Just moved out of London with the GS to Cotswolds. Lived most of life rural but never had adecent bike before, corners that you cannot see around are a bit of a revalation.

Try letting your bike breathe a bit better with a K&N And a decent exhaust system. The GS's benefit very well from this.

Only managed an indicated 110 at Cadwell, never been above 90 on a british road, don't fancy jail and I WOULD get sent down for doing a silly speed. Done a ton for a good while fully laden on the continenet but wasn't happy. I got the GS so that i would feel uncomforatble at going faster than necessary...kids/wife/job to think of now i'm into middleagedom. Knew if i'd kep the VFR that at some point i would have tried to see just how fast it was.
I trust none of the above contributors are gonna moan on an NIP thread at some later date...???...
