Topper of a day!!

Left here 7.00am, up the glen, (glad to report no bikes in carpark or hungry faces staring out through the windies) Gairnshiel, Lecht where the sun was shining over the mist in the glens and corries....simply stunning, bakers in Grantown for a full breakfast waiting for Norm and Pete, down the old road to Newtonmore, right to Laggan, Spean Bridge sun now shining proper, ben crystal clear, jooce, Caol, Arisaig Morar....saw the steam train from Ft.W to Mallaig...fishnchips in Mallaig, onto ferry, over to Armadale, along to Broadford, sun still shining. right to Kylerhea, onto wee ferry, Glenelg, Mam ratagan stopped for obligatory view of 5 sisters(anybody whose done the ridge will know there are really 25 sisters...) Shiel Bridge, Cluanie for coffee, Glen Moriston, over the top of the Garry, jooce Invergarry, Spean Bridge, Laggan, Pitlochry, home at 6.50.

12 hours of the best biking in Europe(in the right weather....), best views, best scenery....

360 miles for me 407 for the others.

yes....I thought exactly that as we roared past your road end....I can only apologise and say that I had hoped to get on the ferry and do the circuit, but I hadn't told my chums, and I was trying to get them to Mallaig in good time. Next time???

Its my favourite circuit...easily amended by variations....across Rannoch through Glencoe, or skip the wee ferry and go through Kyle over the bridge,or turn left at Invergarry and go via Inversnecky. Whatever...but ride your bike. This forum is infested with erses who have (supposedly?) intelligent views on nearly everything, but seem to have forgotten about biking.

And you post pics to rub it in! Where the feck did all those clear skies come from then? My lad was doing his on road training yesterday and came home like a drookit rat! One wumman damn near suffering from exposure / hypothermia apparently! Ok. That's it . I'm off to Ratagan for a mini tour next wee high that comes in!
