Doe's anyone know what the rear ( large) nearside engine protection bar bolt torque setting is,please?. The bolt also fixes the sub frame to the engine casing so I'm assumeing it will have a specific setting, I can't find any mention of in the Haynes manual.
If its relevant, the bars are Hepco & Becker on a '08 GS,
Many thanks,
Craig

Just Checked my hayne manual, Rear subframe engine mounting bolt is 38Nm. Its in section 2.6 Engine, clutch and transmission look under engine mountings.

You may want to check that again. My Crash bars mount on the lower subframe bolt. the 12mm one which has a torque setting of 55nm.

thanks for that i do think your right , i only set mine at 38, will re set to 55nm:blast

you dont happen to know what the m10 , front mount torque should be.

ive got H&B bars

Sorry no idea. You could try H+B's website or use the standard torque for that bolt size.
