Torque settings

I have checked the instructions for exchanging the frame. Please see the following torque settings to give you better picture. I believe, the M10 screw was the one you asked about.

Tightening torques
Frame, bottom, to engine
M10 x 40 38 Nm

Frame, rear left, to cylinder head
M10 x 40 40 Nm

Frame, front, to cylinder head
M12 x 50 66 Nm

Thanks for that.

I found something online that suggested they were 19Nm!!!?

They are the right side M10 x 65; left side M10 x 40 - T50 Torx bolts, frame to engine.

Torques

I am not really an expert on the torque settings, but these are the values, I found. 19Nm seems not that much for such a big bolt.

One thing to check might be the standard torque settings for certain type of screws. In most case, I have noticed, that even the BMW torque settings are roughly similar to the type of screw being used.

I had an issue come time ago, mounting a Wunderlich engine bars on my bike. The company send a screws that were to short and when I tightened them to the specific torque, in one case, it snapped the thread.

Thanks for your help. :beerjug:

You're right, after further investigation, 40Nm appears to be right torque.:thumb2

Cheers!
