This trip is designed for you to ride your own trail bike around some of the best trails in Europe and is based in the village of Competa in Andalucia, southern Spain.
Your bike and riding gear will be transported from the UK to Spain by enclosed van and will be delivered to Competa in time for your arrival on Saturday 6th October. The bikes and gear will be returned to the UK probably on 16th October.
You will need to get yourself to Malaga airport by midday on 6th October from whence you will be taken to the accomodation for the week.
Accomodation will be on a 2-person to a room basis. For the past 3 years, I have rented a large villa:
... although I have now secured an option on accomodation at the delightful Alberdini Hotel/Bar/Restaurant.
The Alberdini give some flexibility on trip numbers and allows people to choose which of the many of Competa's restaurants they eat in.
Alberdini also offers a number of non-riding activities including horse-riding, pilates classes, quad-riding, a pool etc etc and is a walk into the picturesque village.
Last year's ride report is here.
Prices for 2012 will be set when I know which accomodation we are using and how many are taking part. Overall costs, however, are likely to be much the same as previous years.
I'm happy to respond to any queries you may have and am looking for expressions of serious interest.
Greg
We certainly had some great weather for trail riding, while the sky's in the UK were becoming dark and dank. This year the trails were a lot more flowing and long than on previous trips with less technical sections so it made for a perfect week away with the benefit of riding our own bikes.
where in the UK do the bikes ship from / to ???
