As some of you already know Ian and I will be off to Romania later this year to start providing guided Motorcycle tours of the Balkans.
We are looking for people to join us on our first guided tour. This will probably be the only ever tour fully guided from the UK and back, future tours will start and finish at our base in Romania either for people riding their own bikes out or flying over and renting bikes from us.
Leaving for Romania on 11th June and returning on 3rd July 2005. We will be starting with three fairly long days of nothing but motorways but after that it’s nineteen days of fantastic scenery, great roads and legendary hospitality.
We will explore the Carpathian Mountains and Transylvania – garlic provided! You will visit rural areas where time has stood still, visit historic medieval towns, enjoy good food, excellent wine and beer and have a holiday you will never forget! We will ride some of the best GS roads in Europe and weather permitting the fabled Trans Fagarasian Highway
A major bonus for anyone wanting to bring a passenger will be the chance to fly them out to Budapest and pick them up from the Airport, followed by a full day to yourselves in Budapest or a short ride out to some local attractions. This will leave only 100 miles of motorway to cover with a passenger before we get to the really entertaining roads.
Flights to Budapest can be had from most UK airports for less than £40 inc tax. We will deliver flying pillions back to Budapest on the return journey.
Although the return trip will not be as arduous as the run down it will unfortunately consist of some Motorway miles in the last two or three days.
We tried to avoid Motorways as much as possible but in order to maximise the time spent in the really interesting areas and on the really interesting roads we decided a certain amount of miles on Motorway was the only way to go.
As Guinea-pigs you will be offered a massively discounted price including all ferry fares and accommodation.
