Returned last night from 5 day trip to Nice and Italy. 2000 miles in four riding days, long motorway blasts, Alpine passes, snow, ice, rain and sunshine. Bike didn't miss a beat. After reading threads I fitted some H&B crash bars before I left. Didn't realise I would get to test them so soon. On M20 back from tunnel while stationary a Polish artic rear ended me (hit extended near side pannier) and sent me flying down the road into the outside lane. We extracted bike from under the front of the lorry and despite looking and looking all I can find is a scrape on the offside bar where it went down. The bars and the pannier took the impact and weight. They worked brilliantly and I rode away relatively unscathed if pretty mad.

I also fitted the Wunderlich bracket for the Tom Tom from Nippy's before I left (again after reading all the threads). Quite why Tom Tom didn't provide such a neat solution I don't know.

Couldn't see many bikes looking so perfect after an altercation with a juggernaut!

Sounds like you were a tad lucky. Best to the lottery this week :)
