Aren't they all on steroids?

Hey! Now that is just not true! I've never touched steroids .. Ever! :D

Although, I suspect that Andy M may have had a dabble in the past! He's a pretty bulked up sort of guy. :jager

I'm just gonna rely on my GS to keep pace with these guys over the 3 race days.

You rely on Snecklifter for your physique Browny

2mins 27 seconds ....that's Jez's chimney ...

.....and about 500 yards from my house. The signs on the route state that there's no parking permitted from 6am to 5pm on the 3rd, so there's going to be parking chaos all weekend. I'm not too bothered about the car, but hope no fecker blocks access to my garage as I may want to escape for the day on my bike (I was in the Black Hills of South Dakota when the TdF passed through, but I'm not planning on going that far on the 3rd :P )

I doubt it will be as busy at the TdF last year and we were penned in (in Oxenhope) for 12 hrs, really wasn't an issue. :thumb2

Leaving work early on the GSA to watch somewhere along the route, Cote de Rosedale or Dalby maybe, then a mad dash back to Scarborough seafront to hopefully catch the finish.....then to the pub :thumb2

Then up on the Wolds on Saturday

Andy

If anyone wants to know how to get your roads fixed.....just hold a cycle race.......;)

Monday morning....I saw a face full of council bods throwing tarmac around in Forge Valley.

This morning....Same bods busily doing the same on Scarboerough's Marine Drive...(Finish line for day 1)

Don't know who's paying......:nenau

Been over Oxenhope moor this morning - council truck picking up all the usual roadside clutter...not even a year after TDF came through and they have a wagon full of crap already!

Bollocks bollocks bollocks.....went to Ikea today to get some furniture of the office. Reached up to pull out a draw set and put my bloody back out. Never known pain like it. No chance of riding the sportive on Sunday or even getting out to watch the race. Absolutely gutted as was planning on taking my daughter to York on the saturday to watch the race :(

Ain't that the ferking truth.....Same shite going on in Whitby.....Have you noticed how the cats eyes have been removed, then filled with Tarmac.....Going to be chaos re fitting em..Just to panda to the Lycra clad freeloaders....

Nowt to do with the millions brought in by tourism because of the event itself (weekend) and future tourism then ?

Sure the place would survive without it fine....:thumb

I'm not sure many of the businesses up Haworth Main Street would survive without the revenue brought in by the event weekends e.g. Tour de Yorkshire, 40's Weekend, Victorian Christmas etc.

The pubs are deserted most of the time and they haven't figured out it's their extortionate tourist prices which drive the locals away :blast

Unfortunately I'm not going to be able to do it either for reasons too dull to explain on here but likewise I'm very disappointed as this has been the focal point for my Turbo Training since the New Year. Not to mention the £85 that I can't recover for pre-booking a hotel room in Leeds or the £55 entrance fee for the Sportive. :blast
