Shame you missed it - it was rather exciting.
I'm not sure of all the rules, but here goes:
Parked-up at Burnhope, near the mast...... there were a few people there..
After a few minutes the leader arrived...
I wasn't sure if it was cheating to pretend to be a Policeman, but there were plenty others and the drop-off system they were using seemed to slow them down.....
The cars with flashy lights seemed to be next:
....they seemed to be having fun, sounding the sirens and being all revvy!!
These men were only on bicycles, but seemed to be doing quite well - They weren't using the drop-off system..
.... and then lots more men on bicycles came past.... they wear dafter kit than we do.......
...after that there were lots of cars with bicycles on the roof, which must've slowed them down......
That was a "climb".
Next I decided to go and see a "sprint" at Seaton Sluice. I went in the car to the supermarket first and was chortling at the folk already lining the route 2 hours before the leading motorrbike was due to come through.....
On my way back I was stopped by one of the Police Team who made me put my car on the footpath

Fortunately in a prime viewing position.....
A few motorbikes were still in the lead..
...but 2 bicycle riders had over-taken loads of motorbikes that'd struggled with the drop-off system...
.....and then lots more cyclists with the cars with un-aerodynamic roof-racks just behind.....
After all the excitement I need a stiff drink and a Sunday Dinner...
You may see me on telly if you watch ITV4 at 19:30 tonight.......
