Coming up from Swansea on Friday to Caerphilly.... Where would be a good place to watch / park (on or near Caerphilly mountain) ...ta.

Although not able to answer your specific question, an excellent place to watch is as the race comes up through the Brecons - according to the website, the top of the "mountain stage" is somewhere close to Storey Arms (a useful postcode is LD38NL) - this is on the A470 south from Brecon.
Apparently loads of parking, very scenic, and excellent biking roads (although not if you are on a push bike as lots of uphill bits).

Not sure of the exact route, but they are going up Nantgarew Hill at some point. If you mean up by the mountain cafe, then I would park in the Black Cock carpark and walk up to the mountain cafe, a good 15 minute walk and steepish, as it will be rammed as parking there on a busy weekend is bad enough.
Good beer and food. There is. A cheeky short cut coming up from Tongwinglais if you look at the map in detail. Google both and sort it from there HTH
Wave to Bradley for me will you, I'll be in the pub ontop of the Garth :beerjug:

I dont think they'll be going down as far as Nantgarw mate because they are coming from the Beacons, down to Fiddlers Elbow, up through Nelson, down through Ystrad Mynach, Llanbradach and then onto Caerphilly Mountain for a lap before down to the castle. Only know this because my mother told me and she is the font of all knowledge! I'm working from home:beer: because i'll be coming home as they ride through Ystrad and I wont be able to get near my house. Its gonna be traffic chaos as the schools kick out around the time they are coming through!:beerjug:

If this is wrong, take it up with my mother..............she's bigger than me!:hide
