Tour of Pendle

Anyone planning a bit of a ride on Sunday bear in mind it's the Tour of Pendle cycle race (the poor buggers without engines!). A682 Blacko to Gisburn, A59 to Bramley Meade and then round via Read and Fence to Blacko. Three laps. Might be a bit chaotic on the roads round there... Time to go round via Chipping!

There's a bit in Nelson town centre as well, but I don't suppose that's a usual ride-out destination.

This Sunday there's racing on the Dolphinholme circuit near by the Trough. Two races about 5 mins apart on here from 10am to 1pm ish. A bit low key compared to the ToP, no police escort or rolling closure, no convoy of team cars.

I lived in Grindleton for two years........year two it rained on most of the days

Grindleton was originally in Yorkshire by was nicked by Lancashire when they changed the boundaries back in 19??
