If you have no intension of buying the helmet it makes little odds whether it does or not.


But listen up; I asked the question you should be asking.

The question is:

Can I get pin-lock on my current helmets visor?

The answer is:

Yes you can.

Just take your helmet and visor to an Arai 5* dealer. They will fit your visor (now I'm not sure here, but you might have to buy a new visor for your helmet. Possibly because of the implications of fitting pin-lock to a second hand 'and therefore possibly scratched' visor) with the pin-lock pins using a special jig.

From what I gather you only pay for the pin-lock insert (and new visor if you have to buy one) I'm told by an Arai Representative that you will not pay for the pins to be fitted to the visor.

See? Ask the right question, you get the right answer your looking for.

Spoke with Phoenix Distribution yesterday

1. Tour X 3 delayed until August approx
2. Visor with pinlock will fit other tour X all but not available yet
3. Pinlock inserts are available so ordered a clear and tinted from local dealer, then take my Tour X 2 to Phoenix who will drill and fit the Pinlocks--sorted
